All I Want For Christmas Are Two New Workout Machines!

December 24th, 2009

If all you want for Christmas is to wake up 50 pounds lighter, then what you really want for Christmas are two new workout machines. First you want a treadmill and second you want a Bowflex gym. With these two machines combined, you can do a lot of damage to those fat cells.  The treadmill is great for conditioning and great for your heart. If you can do 30 minutes to an hour of cardio every day, you’ll be in great shape. The great thing about a treadmill is that you can put it anywhere you want it in your house, even in front of your television. So this year while you’re watching A Christmas Story, you can be working out on your treadmill as well. You also need not miss a second of Dancing With The Stars, Desperate Housewives, or the Real Housewives of Orange County. Additionally, you don’t have to worry about weather conditions ruining your workout routine, unless of course there is a storm that cuts the power out!The Bowflex machine has many of the same benefits. It allows you to do your workout from home which makes working out on your own schedule much more convenient. This is where you get the most bang for your buck though, because the Bowflex machine is great for getting those muscles right which makes the most difference when you put your clothes on. Muscle tone makes you look great in your clothes and helps to keep the weight off in the long run. So for Christmas this year, don’t ask for your two front teeth, get these two machines!

Santa Claus Needs to Lose Weight and So Do You

December 18th, 2009

Santa Claus is everybody’s favorite person, especially when you are a kid at Christmas time. There is nothing more exciting than going to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him all the wonderful things you are expecting him to bring to you this year at Christmas. But has anyone ever noticed that Santa Claus is fat? He’s in fact the only person in society that we allow to get away with being fat without scrutinizing him and judging him. But the truth is that Santa Claus is fat and really needs to go on a diet. He could potentially be sending the wrong message about health and fitness and the importance of being in good physical condition. So perhaps Santa needs to go on the Medifast diet. Nobody is trying to poke fun at Santa Claus here but the truth remains that kids see Santa Claus as a nice jolly fat man and think that all of a sudden it’s okay to be fat, as long as you’re jolly. That being said, Santa could stand to lose at least 75 pounds and here’s how he could do it.First and foremost he could begin with a good diet. Not saying that Medifast is the answer but he really should lay off of the hot chocolate for a while. Next he should do a few laps around the track with the reindeer. And finally, he should wrap and load some of those gifts himself for a little additional strength training!

2 Must Have Items for the Christmas Season

December 11th, 2009

The Christmas Season is known for being the season when people gain the most weight and fall off of their weight loss goals. But this year it doesn’t have to be that way for you. This year you can stay on top of your weight loss goals and go into the New Year having already started your new year’s resolution. In order to do this you are going to need two things: a treadmill and a workout DVD. Treadmills are the way to lose weight. Cardio is the best thing that you can do for your body to keep it functioning properly and a treadmill will help you to do cardio every day no matter what the weather or what your schedule. Often times we get side tracked from working out because we don’t have the time and miss out on gym hours. But if you have a treadmill in your home, there is never an excuse to not work out. Next you need a workout DVD that will help you strength train.  Jillian Michaels has a bunch of these available for sale through Amazon.com, among other places. It also wouldn’t hurt to start a diet program if you can like the Medifast diet.If you can get those two things, your Christmas will be much easier and by the time summer rolls around you won’t be needing to lose weight, you’ll only be doing maintenance workouts. Again, enough cannot be said about dieting and eating healthy foods. It isn’t necessary to get on a Medifast diet, just so long as you are eating healthy and you purchase the 2 must haves for losing weight this season.

Black Friday: The Best Day of the Year for Potential Weight Loss

December 4th, 2009

The day after Thanksgiving is notoriously known as Black Friday because everyone hits the malls and begins shopping for Christmas gifts for all of their loved ones. Anyone who’s anybody is at the local malls shopping trying to find the perfect gifts before they are all gone. It’s also a day that lends itself to lots of sales due to the holiday rushes. But the best part about Black Friday is that it is the perfect day to lose weight. Think about it, you do lots of shopping, which means lots of walking around all day long. It also means that you are carrying bags all day long too which is great for toning the muscles and great for strength training. The only unfortunate thing is that it falls the day after the fattest day of the year: Thanksgiving. But that’s okay! You can use Black Friday as an opportunity to make up for all the food you ate on Thanksgiving day and as an opportunity to jump start your weight loss goals before Christmas gets here. If you need a little assistance, don’t forget about the friendly Medifast diet which can help you tremendously. The only thing that the Medifast diet won’t help you with is the amount of money you are going to spend on Black Friday. As a word of caution, try not to over spend by creating a budget before you hit the malls. Make a list of people you are buying gifts for, and how much you want to spend on each. If you have an idea as to what you want to buy each person, write it down. And remember, Christmas isn’t about gift giving anyway, it’s about Jesus so don’t go breaking the bank!

The Thanksgiving Diet

November 26th, 2009

Wouldn’t it be absolutely lovely if there were a diet that let you eat everything that you wanted to eat on Thanksgiving, but do it every day of the year, not just on Thanksgiving? If there were a Thanksgiving diet, it would definitely need to have sweet potato pie, cornbread dressing, cornbread stuffing rice dressing, potato salad, baked macaroni, broccoli rice and cheese casserole, ham, turkey, peas and carrots, green beans, and more on the menu! Of course this is but a dream. There isn’t a Thanksgiving diet that allows you to eat all of the mentioned goodies and still look great the next day. But there is a diet that has decent food and it’s called Medifast. It may not have dressing on the menu, but it does have a long list of other wholesome, healthy, and tasty treats ready for you to eat.It would be too good to be true of a diet like Medifast could be substituted for a Thanksgiving Diet that had all of the aforementioned foods on the list as okay to eat. Everyone would be on that diet and it is almost certain that no one would have problems following it or sticking to it. Only in heaven will something so wonderful like Thanksgiving food be eaten in great quantities without the concern of calories or weight gain. Until, then we will have to settle for eating healthy and good if we want to look good on earth!

Keeping Those Thanksgiving Pounds Off

November 21st, 2009

Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. Yeah I know, most people would guess that Christmas is everyone’s favorite holiday but mine is Thanksgiving. Why? Because I love to eat.  All that turkey and dressing and stuffing and potatoes, yams, green beans, corn, sweet potato pie, cranberry sauce sends goose bumps down my spine and gets me excited for the holiday season to come. Unfortunately though, none of this is good for dieting and weight loss. All the foods listed will be consumed at levels above normal and Thanksgiving day after all the meals have been served, I will be feeling like a pig and looking like one too. But never fret, there are some things you can do to prepare yourself in advanced for the big day. You can start with beginning a diet like the Medifast diet. It’s always a good idea to get into shape before Thanksgiving that way you can eat all you want the day of. If you being with something like Medifast, then the effects of overeating will be less severe and you will have a faster bounce back period. Additionally, if you do a good workout everyday from now until then, and then do a good workout the day of Thanksgiving, you will have positioned yourself to eat as much as you want, and not do too much damage to your weight loss goals!

Get Rid of That Turkey Neck Before Thanksgiving

November 14th, 2009

Aging is a natural part of life and the truth is that nobody really wants to age, but nobody is ready to die either, which is the only way to stop the aging process. However, there are a few things that you can do to slow down the aging process and improve its effect on your skin which should keep you from getting a turkey neck. First of all, exercise should be a daily part of your life. Never stop doing it. To get rid of the turkey neck specifically, you should do neck exercises and stretches. If the skin is already sagging, it may be wise to go ahead and have a little nip tuck in that area because there really isn’t any other way to get rid of that kind of sagging skin. Next, you will want to make sure that you live a stress free lifestyle. Stress is inevitable in life, but you can completely control the way that you handle it. Try and take one day off a week just to devote to relaxation and pampering yourself. You don’t necessarily have to go to a spa, but you can have a spa day at home. Eat healthy. Diets like Medifast promote healthy nutrition and keep your body from gaining excess weight.Excess weight is one of the primary causes of sagging skin. People who gain a lot of weight and lose it typically get turkey necks and have sagging skin in other areas so try to eat right; use Medifast if you must!

Real Housewives of Atlanta Diet And Workout Program!

October 7th, 2009

If you have been watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta this season, then you will have noticed that there is an episode toward the beginning of the season where housewife Nene Leakes and Lisa Wu-Hartwell are running in their neighborhood. While Lisa looks to be in the best shape of her life, Nene is barely keeping up, though she is not ashamed to admit that she likes to eat which is the reason why she is a 10 and not an 8! We also see moments of Sheree’s workout routine which involves a personal trainer who helps her to do an extensive strength training and weight lifting regimen that keeps her, as she would say, “looking like a hot 20 year old”. Well, maybe she doesn’t look 20, but she definitely looks great! So what can we learn from these housewives? Well the importance of exercise!  As Lisa so greatly exemplified, it is important to keep cardio as an important part of one’s daily routine. If you don’t like runnning outdoors and would prefer to be watching the Real Housewives while working out, try getting a Nordic Track.

But we also learn from Sheree the importance of strength training. This sort of workout ensures that your muscles are toned and that you look great in whatever it is that you decide to put on! If you’d like to try something different, get yourself a Tony Little Gazelle, or some free weights and get started building your muscle mass today. There are no guarantees that you will look like Sheree after your workout, but you will begin to look your personal best!

Best Exercises For A Firmer Abdominal

September 16th, 2009

Most people in America don’t have problems with fat legs, fat arms, fat feet, or fat hands. Admittedly there are definitely some that do, but the large majority of people have problems with excess weight in their stomach areas. Men and women both have problems in these areas and desperately long to resolve the issues there. In order to get a firmer, tighter abdominal region, you need to begin by eating a healthy diet. Beyond that, the most important exercise that you can do is running. If you don’t have the time to do this, you may need to consider investing in a treadmill like the Proform Treadmill. That way, you will be able to workout while you are at home.

In addition, you need to incorporate some abdominal specific exercises which can be done with the help of the Ab Rocket or other abdominal machines. If you can combine these two together, you will be sure to have great abs in no time!
