The story was about a guy that decided to eat at <a href="http://www.mcdonalds.com" title="McDonalds" target="_blank">McDonald’s</a> 3 times a day for 30 days. This means that he ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there for 1 full month. As you can imagine he gained an immense amount of weight slowly began to see his health deteriorate. What is most compelling is not what happened to his body but what he discovered about the addictive nature of the food we eat.</p>
<p>My wife and I soon discovered this with our son. Once he got a good taste of French fries from a certain fast food chain, he was hooked. Now whenever we pass by a sign for one of those places, he cries out for French fries. The lesson here is not only, watch what you eat but also, be very careful of how you are training your children to think and behave in the future. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In a typical office setting there is usually one guy. You know the guy right? He’s the one that no one really pays attention to until that time during the week where he brings donuts and kolaches for the office. We have a guy like that in our office. Quiet and unassuming as he may be, he quickly becomes the office hero on Wednesdays when he shows up with 3 boxes full of kolaches, doughnuts and cinnamon rolls. To be honest, I find myself eating more than my fair share of the goodies and most of my co-workers know it. So today I walk into the office and what do I see on the desk in the lobby…a McDonald’s bag filled with breakfast biscuits.</p>
<p>Now this may not seem like a big deal but what you must understand is that my wife and I agreed that we would not eat pork or shellfish. Well, wouldn’t you know it that this delectable breakfast sandwich was full of sausage? So here I am hungry and ready to eat a horse but defiantly not a pig. I immediately took the biscuit left on my desk and handed it back to the person that brought it. Did I want to eat it? Absolutely!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you know me you know I have one weakness when it comes to food…DESSERT. It is true. I can say no to just about anything however when dessert time arrives I really must admit that I have a hard time knowing when to say when. On a recent excursion to my favorite lunch spots, I noticed the dessert tray as I walked by. The worst part about it was that this was an all you can eat buffet. I can tell you that I got my money’s worth. As I finished off the last of my meal I grabbed an empty plate and headed straight for the dessert station.</p>
<p>They had the bread pudding and it was below average. But then, I saw the cookies. Something told me to stay away but I simply could not resist. It wasn’t long before I was eating my 5th and then my 6th one. Oh how wonderful they tasted going down yet how awful I was feeling after eating them all in one sitting. I felt disgusting. Moderation is an always will be the key in <a href="http://www.discountdietprograms.com" title="The Food Battle" target="_blank">winning the battle over food</a>. The truth is, I can say no and so can you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week my wife and I decided that we were not going to allow our children to eat out at any fast food places. Though it was tough I have to admit that we did a pretty good job of making sure that the only meals they ate were almost all <a href="http://www.discountdietprograms.com/medifast.html" title="Healthy Home-cooked meals" target="_blank">healthy home-cooked meals</a>. In fact, the children did so well this week we thought it would be a nice gesture to take them to McDonald’s tonight. While we had good intentions, it seems that this was not the brightest of ideas. </p>
<p>The first sign of trouble is when we pulled up to the drive-thru window. “Your total comes to $24.39” the lady said. Can you believe that? For a burger and fries. Anyway, then we get up to the window and the guy at the front literally has no idea what we ordered. It takes them at least 7 minutes to sort everything out. But here is the kicker. We get home and are eating when my wife take a bite of her sandwich and finds a bug. Ah yes, the icing on the cake. Guess it was just God’s way of letting us know that we should eat at home from now on. Don’t you go through all that to learn the lesson I am trying to teach.</p>
