The Thanksgiving Diet

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Wouldn’t it be absolutely lovely if there were a diet that let you eat everything that you wanted to eat on Thanksgiving, but do it every day of the year, not just on Thanksgiving? If there were a Thanksgiving diet, it would definitely need to have sweet potato pie, cornbread dressing, cornbread stuffing rice dressing, potato salad, baked macaroni, broccoli rice and cheese casserole, ham, turkey, peas and carrots, green beans, and more on the menu! Of course this is but a dream. There isn’t a Thanksgiving diet that allows you to eat all of the mentioned goodies and still look great the next day. But there is a diet that has decent food and it’s called Medifast. It may not have dressing on the menu, but it does have a long list of other wholesome, healthy, and tasty treats ready for you to eat.It would be too good to be true of a diet like Medifast could be substituted for a Thanksgiving Diet that had all of the aforementioned foods on the list as okay to eat. Everyone would be on that diet and it is almost certain that no one would have problems following it or sticking to it. Only in heaven will something so wonderful like Thanksgiving food be eaten in great quantities without the concern of calories or weight gain. Until, then we will have to settle for eating healthy and good if we want to look good on earth!

Keeping Those Thanksgiving Pounds Off

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. Yeah I know, most people would guess that Christmas is everyone’s favorite holiday but mine is Thanksgiving. Why? Because I love to eat.  All that turkey and dressing and stuffing and potatoes, yams, green beans, corn, sweet potato pie, cranberry sauce sends goose bumps down my spine and gets me excited for the holiday season to come. Unfortunately though, none of this is good for dieting and weight loss. All the foods listed will be consumed at levels above normal and Thanksgiving day after all the meals have been served, I will be feeling like a pig and looking like one too. But never fret, there are some things you can do to prepare yourself in advanced for the big day. You can start with beginning a diet like the Medifast diet. It’s always a good idea to get into shape before Thanksgiving that way you can eat all you want the day of. If you being with something like Medifast, then the effects of overeating will be less severe and you will have a faster bounce back period. Additionally, if you do a good workout everyday from now until then, and then do a good workout the day of Thanksgiving, you will have positioned yourself to eat as much as you want, and not do too much damage to your weight loss goals!

Get Rid of That Turkey Neck Before Thanksgiving

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Aging is a natural part of life and the truth is that nobody really wants to age, but nobody is ready to die either, which is the only way to stop the aging process. However, there are a few things that you can do to slow down the aging process and improve its effect on your skin which should keep you from getting a turkey neck. First of all, exercise should be a daily part of your life. Never stop doing it. To get rid of the turkey neck specifically, you should do neck exercises and stretches. If the skin is already sagging, it may be wise to go ahead and have a little nip tuck in that area because there really isn’t any other way to get rid of that kind of sagging skin. Next, you will want to make sure that you live a stress free lifestyle. Stress is inevitable in life, but you can completely control the way that you handle it. Try and take one day off a week just to devote to relaxation and pampering yourself. You don’t necessarily have to go to a spa, but you can have a spa day at home. Eat healthy. Diets like Medifast promote healthy nutrition and keep your body from gaining excess weight.Excess weight is one of the primary causes of sagging skin. People who gain a lot of weight and lose it typically get turkey necks and have sagging skin in other areas so try to eat right; use Medifast if you must!
